Default Can You Get Emancipated if You're 16 and Financially Independent

i live in Tx and I'm 16 year old female and make enough money to be financially independent (did all the math), the emancipation laws state that i can be emancipated at 16 if i live on my own how do i do this without being reported as a runaway? The reason for moving out is my mother has very bad mental instability and sees multiple doctors for it and i just cant take all this anymore my friend who is 19 and know the situation wants to split the cost of an apartment . i understand living on your own is hard and i expect a struggle i currently have a job and attend online school and make good grades, i dont do drugs and i take care of myself i consider myself very responsible. I dont want to get cps involved because i dont fear for my safety (just my sanity)and know how awful foster care can be. im lucky enough as to not inherit any of her conditions and shes very erratic she is still married to my father (so she wouldnt be alone) who has bad anger issues and use to go to anger management but now refuses to go so my house is mostly chaos, my older brother who moved out years ago and would defiantly agree. My mother is very "iffy" on me moving out and she has a mood swing she would call the cops but sometimes she agrees its not a bad idea. What exactly qualifies as a runaway? i would keep in contact with her, would that make a difference? Exactly how do i go about being emancipated right now?

In Texas at age 16, to get emancipated you must already be living independently. Also, at any age, you need to be "self-supporting and managing [your] own financial affairs" - not theoretically capable, but actually doing it.

If you are looking for a law you can wave at your parents that will force them to let you move out at 16, there isn't one. If they don't give you permission to move out at 16, then you don't move out at 16. Period, full stop.
