    Default Home Seller Completely Lied to Us

    My husband and I purchased our home in April of 2005 in IN. When we bought our home the seller told us she was 100% sure that the basement did not get any kind of water what so ever! she even checked the box on one of the forms that says the dwelling basement or crawl space does not get water.I have the paper. well everytime it rains out we have puddles of water in our basement and it is coming from the foundation my husband is a superintendent for the carpenters union in IL. he looked at it and said it was the foundation and there was no way the basement didn't get water when the selller lived in our house. I had a home inspection before we bought our house but the sellers things were still here so he kinda workrd around it but when you look at the wood on the wall you can see it has water damage is there any way i can at least make them pay for the foundation repairs?

    The fact that you had a home inspection which did not reveal the problem could limit or undermine your remedies against the seller. Do you have an estimate for repairs?

    well my husbans estimated it to be about 10,000.00 to 15,000.00 because the are gonna have to dig around our entire house

    Does your purchase agreement contain an arbitration clause?

    what is a arbitration clause? I am not sure if it dose or not will the paper say arbitration clause on ?
