Default Emancipation in the State of Idaho

My question involves juvenile law in the State of: Idaho. I am currently sixteen years of age and received my high school diploma as of August 2012. In the present moment I am in foster care and planning on attending College Spring semester. I realize that I will not be going back to my biological mother and would like information on how I can begin on the road of living on my own. I do have a job that will support me while in college as long as I live on campus, which can not happen until I am out of foster care. I have looked into independent living programs, but the minimum age requirement always seems to be eighteen. If you know of any loop holes, laws, or programs that will allow me to gain some independence I would like to hear what your options include. Thank you so much for your time, and if you have any follow up questions I will be more then willing to answer.

The only thing that comes to mind (because you absolutely will not qualify for emancipation) is the State housing you in some sort of transitional facility.

Have you spoken to your case worker?

Does "looked into" include contacting your case worker and specifically asking about a program for independent living?

What do your case worker and foster parents propose? Your living with your foster parents while attending college classes? Your foster parents won't let you get a part-time job?

You need to consult with your foster care liaison about living on campus. Consult with the financial aid counselor, regarding your special circumstances, at the college you plan on attending. They will outline any special options available to you.
