My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: California
My supervisor began bullying me and tried to get me to quit my job of 20 years. Because I am in a protected class i filed a complaint with the state EEO office-which they accepted. However, they did not have time to investigate. I notified my HR dept that i was being harrased by my supervisor and i felt it was because of my race-discrimination. I was skipped over for promotions and advancements -(the White or Asians were not) I am the only Hispanic in the departmentand was subjected to a different set of rules and even moved from my desk away from co workers. Supervisor made false accusations of me. Which I disproved time after time and actualy pointed the culprits of the erros -who happened to be White. She continued to harrass me until i had a nervous breakdown. They tried to get me to go on workmans comp. I declined. After accusing them of discrimination..HR calls me and tells me that due to no more work I am being let go and they called security to escort me out of the building. I had recently turned 40. Is this a retaliation case? discrimination case? thank you
