They say: You can be charged the value of the theft plus $150. However, that limit does not apply to theft over $500. Since you are over $900.....
PS: That is just the Civil Demand. You will have court costs and fines. Also a minimum of 10 days of Community Service - and guess what....you typically get to pay for that privilege since someone has to supervise you...
