Default Is It Legal to Videotape An Inspection

What is the name of your state? Virginia

If there is a court order for county officials to inspect a person's property, can the owner legally videotape the inspection as long as they don't interfere with the inspection? Can the county officials stop the owner from videotaping or take the tape from the owner?

    Default Re: Legal to videotape?

There would be no reason to videotape, as they submit what they find. If you're hiding something, take it out of the house... I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to videotape, however I don't see any reason why you would want or need to.
