    Unhappy Retail Theft of $360.00

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Illinois I was caught in khols shoplifting. A retail value of $360.00 I fully cooperated with LP and Lincolnwood police department and was given bail @ $150 as a misdemeanor this was my first time I like to know what my consequences will be upon appearing at court ? Will it remain a misdemeanor or be moved to a felony. In addition I'm currently on supervision for a battery charge in the same jurisdiction.

First of all: If the value of the item is more than $300, you may be facing a class 4 felony punishable by 1-3 years in jail and a fine of up to $25,000.

    You can expect court costs.

And the store or its lawyers will be mailing you a Civil Demand notice. Under Illinois law, the store is entitled to collect up to $1000 plus the value of the goods. So...expect to have $1360 laying around to pay that. (If you don't pay it, you can be sued in Civil Court and if still not paid, it can reflect bad on your Credit History).

Since you are on supervision, expect that supervision may be revoked and you get sentenced to jail.
