My question involves unemployment benefits for the state of: ND
I resigned from a position working for the government. The position required that I maintain a 2nd class medical certificate. It was a high-stress job, and I felt that I couldn't do it because of the stress and anxiety I felt while on the job, so I resigned and told Mgmt that I needed to pursue a less-stressful career. After I resigned, I went to urgent care and was diagnosed with general anxiety for which I was prescribed Zoloft for the next year (100mg daily). "This medication would be disqualifying of a 2nd class medical"
I am claiming that my high stress career with the govt created or aggravated my anxiety and that is why I resigned. I have prepared a statement for the officiant. I have returned to a full time job, but feel that I am still entitled to my UI benefits for the time that I was out of work and looking. I fulfilled all the state's requirements for eligibility, but was denied benefits because my employer claims that I voluntarily quit. My phone hearing is in a few days. Any help would be welcomed. Thank you.
