My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: Oregon
I live in a small town that has quite a few businesses. Lately though, I have had trouble finding a job. I would keep getting interviews but no job offers. Dairy Queen, the business in question, has always said to me that they do not have any job applications. At first I ignore it but after awhile of them saying they had no applications and seeing my friends get hired there, I was getting pretty irritated. One day I go in and ask for one and, again, I am told they do not have any. My girlfriend is irritated too and she goes in and asks for one and they give her one. Is this discrimination or does Dairy Queen have the right to say who and who does not get an application.
