Default Can You Delay Your Court Date if You Can't Afford the Fines

My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: Illinois

A month ago, I got a ticket for having an expired tag. My court date is tomorrow, and I do NOT have the money to pay it right now.

Can I go in and file for an extension? I will have the money next Wednesday to pay the fine. I am just hoping the judge will allow that? I really don't want to get arrested for not doing something about it.

    Thank you!
    Tyler

    Appear, plead and beg.

Contact the court clerk and ask about the court's procedure for requesting an adjournment.
