It is not enough that your contract says you get X amount of vacation. Unless that contract goes on to say that Y will be paid out at termination AND that Y is greater than you would receive under company policy, the policy applies. Since the portion of your contract that you shared with us makes no mention of payout at termination (and since I assume that you would have said so if it did) all you are owed is what company policy states. Michigan law does not require that unused vacation be paid AT ALL unless there is a policy or contract that says it will.
