Default Filing for Divorce with Only One Party

My question involves a marriage in the state of: Florida

A friend of mine got married in March to a non-citizen. However, after she filed the papers for his petition and he got his green card, everything changed. She found messages that said he was planning on bringing his girlfriend from his home country here. After she confronted him, he took off and she hasn't seen or heard from him in about 3 months. Since it is now obvious that he used her solely to file the petition, she wants to get a divorce but has no way of contacting him to serve the papers. They have no kids together and no property. Before they got married, they were living apart (he moved into her place for a short period after the wedding). Is it possible for her to initiate and complete the divorce proceedings on her own even though she isn't able to find him to get his signature?

If her process server cannot locate him, she can petition the court to permit substituted service.
