My question involves employment and labor law for the state of: New Jersey

As many of you know coastal NJ was hit hard by Hurricane Sandy. My husband works for a company that is very prominent in the area we live in (which is coastal NJ). His hours skyrocketed with his company helping replenish, clean, haul, demo the barrier island, as well as other areas. Someone mentioned to him that because he is working disaster relief that he should be getting paid a certain amount (since apparently his company is getting paid by insurance companies to keep the laborers employed), but he is still getting paid his normal wage, should he be getting paid differently?. Please LMK if you need more details to help answer, I'll do the best I can at answering.
