    Default Change of Work Schedule

My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: Va.

Wife works for a small co they are open 7 days a week when she was hired she was asked what days she could not work. She said week ends, they were in need so she was hired. 5 years down the road Management and supervisors changed and out of the blue she was told that she would have to start working week end in order to keep her job.

    Can they do this?

Default Re: Chang of Work Schedule

    Of course they can.

Whether or not your wife has a valid response will depend upon why she can't work weekends - e.g., due to her religious beliefs - which is something you've chosen not to tell us. If it is for religious reasons, though, I'm not aware of any religion that requires full weekends off.
