There's no "rule" as such. Why don't you tell us the facts?
That, of itself, has no impact on your tenancy. I expect that your landlord realizes that a blanket "no felons" rule could potentially land it in hot water over housing discrimination, and even with tenant you're not going to know if every occupant of a unit has a criminal record.Quoting tjdoc66
