My question involves a child custody case from the State of Michigan to Georgia. & Removing Parental Rights from the Non-Custodian Parent?
I have Sole Physical and legal custody of my Daughter who is 4 years-old, my ex wife lost custody because she was abusing my daughter while we were going though a divorce. I am in the military and was stationed in the state of Washington and my daughter and ex were in Michigan so at the time I was unaware that my daughter was being abused by my ex and her boyfriend. Story Short, CPS got involved and took my daughter in to foster care till I came and go her 1 day later. Mean while we were still going through our divorce and during the custody I received sole physical and legal custody. My Ex still has her parental rights and since I am in the military I transferred to the state of Georgia and now I want to transfer our case to the state of GA. would this be in my best interest? I have also remarried and my new wife wants to adopt me daughter, but my ex still has rights and she is over $2,000 behind in child support and has also been convicted of assault on a minor(My Daughter) & her boyfriend received 3rd degree child abuse. there is a current court order for her to communicate with my daughter via web cam 3 times a week and 1 phone call on the weekend. She keeps up with the web cam and 1 phone call but I really believe she has changed one bit. How do I get her parental rights removed? so my wife can adopt. My Ex does drugs and drinks constantly...how do I make my family's life better by getting all of this taken cared of. I really need some advice
