My question involves criminal law for the state of: IL
How long does a company have to charge you with theft if no police were called or if they have not contacted you and the date of the crime was over two months now?

It varies by state, but 1-2 years.
My suggestion: Stop shoplifting before you actually do get caught and have to pay thousands for a lawyer and court costs and fines, and have a hard time finding a job because of a criminal record.
