Default Is It Legal to Send in a Fake Resume in the U.S.

I just wanna write one so I can see if certain aspects make me more likely to get an interview, I have no intention of accepting interview invitations or going to work under a fake resume I just want to write a fake resume so I can see if certain credentials are sufficient to land me an interview. I also have no intention of applying under my legal name or applying to a government entity, just some local companies. So is it legal to use a fake resume to "test the waters"?

    Oh, it's legal.

But it's unethical and when you're found out (and you will be found out), you'll be blacklisted by every company you apply to.

Don't waste someone else's time, please.

Exactly how are they going to find me out, I'll use an alias, I'll use a phone number I never put on my normal resume, and an email I never put on my normal resume. Besides how else am I supposed to find out if they'll interview me with certain credentials? If I ask them all they'll say is "well it depends on a lot of things, we interview a lot of people, but you should still apply." I'm not gonna get a straight yes or no answer by asking them, I gotta trick them for a yes or no answer.

You do know, don't you, that most employers are still getting several dozen, if not several hundred, resumes for every opening, and that only a very small handful of even people with "certain credentials" are going to get interviewed? Thus making your entire test a waste of everyone's time, including your own?

The way to find out if they'll interview you is to apply under your own name with your own credentials. What you propose is unethical and, to put it bluntly, stupid.
