My question involves criminal law for the state of: TEXAS
Charges are stated as above. So heres what i want to know:
Im 18 & this is my first misdemeanor, i have NOT gone to court yet so i need to know the best route as to getting everything to where it will not be on my record what so ever, im also starting college in the next spring semester using my dads GI bill, will this in any way affect whether or not i can use the GI bill? Whats the best route i can do to get these charges expunged or cleared off my public record? Is it possible for me to get differed adjudication? If i complete my differed adjudication is that considered a conviction or what (because you cant get something expunged if you are convicted)? Is it better for me to hire a lawyer or go with the public defender? If i do choose a public defender can i meet with him before the trial so we can talk about the situation & try to get my issues resolved? Please help me, I dont want this to affect me the rest of my life.
Please give me as much detailed advice as possible.

You will most likely be able to get a first time offender/drug program. Once you complete it you will not be charged and your record will be clean, time to stop smoking and take this shit seriously. Good luck to you bud
