My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: California
early this year i was terminated from work in which i never receive some wages owe to me,
I open a case with my local labor commissioner
In which at the first hearing they inform me that the company owe me not just those days but overtime pay being that i was a salary position and working 14+ hour days, they schedule a new hearing for new total wages owe,
at the second hearing my former employer did not bother to show up, the labor officer discuss to me that everything is in my favor and and they are going to submit the total amount owe. and wait to see if they appeal.
well i just receive the letter informing me that my former employer appeal the judgement and a 3rd hearing is going to take place and im going to need a attorney in which they will provide.
My question is
Just like in a criminal case does you're attorney speak on you're behalf?
Im kind of scare and starting to stress over this
