My question involves employment and labor law for the state of: Massachusetts

Hello, I'm hoping somebody could help me here. Any thoughts or comments would be greatly appreciated.

In Sept. 2011, I began working for a retail company. The job included the use of my own vehicle and also included the use of my own gas to and from the store. The company has a reimbursement program that gives you the amount of money you spent on gas back in your paycheck at the end of the week. I knew of this program but what I did not know is that my managers, who were supposed to set me up under this reimbursement plan, in fact did not set me up for reimbursements. They never told me that I was receiving payments for mileage. Sometime in November, I learned from another associate that I should have been getting a separate check. I was not getting these. I confronted my Manager about this and he looked into it. He came back to me and told me that I was never submitted (even though i was supposed to be) for reimbursements. Not long after, my manager left the store and a new one came in. I confronted him about the unpaid dues and he told me to "forget about it". I was very upset. I was writing down my mileage for reimbursements and not getting a cent back. Also, this new manager did not submit any of my reports for reimbursement either. I left on good terms in June 2012 without getting anything back for the mileage I traveled. All of the mileage I recorded was submitted to my managers. They lost my record of mileage. I had only one set of records.

Meanwhile, I called Human Resources to see if they could help me get this settled. I was set up with an Associate Relations Specialist. After speaking with her on the phone, I was sure I had no hope. She literally laughed at me. After describing all of the problems I was facing in the best and most polite way I possibly could, she said to me that I had "no case" and she hinted at the fact that she didn't believe me. I was very upset with this experience. Her superior was unreachable by email and three different phone lines.

So here I am with this gigantic problem and I feel like I'm alone in this. It's strange because despite all of the problems I had with this company, I really enjoyed working there. Is there any possible way that I can get what is owed to me for my hard work? Can this company really deny me the money that they owe me? Isn't that illegal??

Thank You for your consideration and time
