My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: MI
Hi, I was upfront and spelled out what I did 3 years ago. I had a misdemeanor for petty theft and pled no contest. I got probation and fines. I told my new contract house this was honest on my application. We spoke about it and then I was hired. they did a background check or say the employer (FORD) did and I told them again reminded them of what would be on this. I started working on site for them have been there 2 1/2 weeks, yesterday I was told that I would be let go effective immediately because of my background check. Is there anything I can do to keep my job? Would it be wrong to go around the contract house and write a letter to FORD? I want to keep my job I was clear and upfront do I loose all sense of right because I made a mistake 3 years ago?
Thank you
