Default Naturalization and Proving My Biological Father is My Father

I currently am a german citizen and have permanent residence in the US. Ive basically grew up here my entire life since 1999. I have to do the green card process and everything. In Germany I guess it is only required for one parent to be on a birth certificate and my father left when I was very young. He was an airforce guy. My mother is the only one on my birth certificate. I live in Hawaii currently and am trying to find out what I need to do to have my dad sign a paper saying he is my father and I want to switch my citizenship to American and take his last name since my current last name is from my ex-stepdad (it was easier to keep his). My goal is to join the navy. I am in good standing with my father now I finally met him 3 years ago and we have a great relationship. He is willing to do whatever it takes and travel anywhere. Im just unsure of where to begin. If someone knows what I can or where to start.

You're how old, and obtained permanent residency in the U.S. through what means?

You're a permanent resident, and appear to have been so for most of your life. Why not simply naturalize?

Because the process is different. I want my dad to be on my birth certificate an take his last name legally. Plus with the military a security clearance is needed for my intended position. Which is not given to a permanent resident. If anyone can offer me help
