Does anyone know the laws in Mississippi regarding DNA paternity testing?
My friend was married to a woman and recently found out their year old child is not his. They have been married around eighteen months and were separated. He was told by a friend that he needed to confirm the paternity and was shocked to find the child is not his. (did a DNA test)
Prior to marrying her, he had suspicions about her but no evidence. When she ended up pregnant, she assure him it was his (they had been living together for two years and she was planning the wedding for about a year)

She ran up credit cards to over fifteen thousand paying for her dream wedding and didn't tell him about it. After they married, they fought over the finances and that was probably the reason they separated.

But the shocker was the DNA. I hear that he might have to pay child support.
How can that be?
