Caught Steaing Froom a Store, First Time Offense

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Lake Mary, Florida


Let me say it was stupid I have no idea what I was thinking.
I left in my cart an item that was worth $48, an undercover LP came up to me. Took me to the security room called the cops and I was arrested. Its my first time offense I have a clean record and I'm in college, soon to start working. I was taken to the county jail and booked, I wasn't read my rights whent he cop put the cuffs. My bail was $301.50 and I posted bond. My court date is next month, I was reffered to a lawyer, can't really afford a lawyer. I just want to know what might happen and what should I do. I was reading some people just got probation, which I am praying I would get because I don't want to do jail time. So whomever might have advice thank you.

And really whomever wants to act like there perfect please save it no one is perfect and have made a mistake in there life weither they got caught or not.

You probably won't get jail. You will have to pay a fine to the store, court costs, etc. Make sure you pay every single thing they tell you to, and pay it on time.
Remember how you feel right now when you are tempted to do something silly again. It's never worth it.
