    Default Citizenship with Criminal Record

I'm applying for citizenship but when i was 17 I shop lifted, received deferred probation, and the case was dropped. I'm 20 and a junior in college working as a cashier at a store and I'm just scared and in need of answers. How will this affect it? I have been in the U.S for 10 years and my green card is almost up.

You need to report it, however as it occurred when you were a minor and is a small offense it should not keep you from attaining your goal.

You can renew your GC. You should consult an attorney during any future immigration processing. It may be best to delay applying for citizenship even though your offense was when you were a minor. You want to properly answer all questions and the attorney will assist you with that.
