    Default Cash for Keys

My question involves a mortgage in the state of: California
Who offers more "cash for keys"? Banks or Investors? What should I be aware of if any?
Should Iwait for offer first or move out before offer? Are there any new laws regarding "cash for keys?"
    Any info would be appreciated.

    Default Re: Cash for Keys

The owner of the property (often the bank after a foreclosure) will often offer a cash incentive for an orderly exit from the property.
It's not the "keys" specifically they are after. They don't need your keys. They need you and your personal junk out of the property.
You have no LEGAL rights to cash for keys. It's entirely at the discretion of the property owner as to whether to negotiate or go to legal eviction procedure to get the dead beats out of the foreclosed property.
