What Would Happen if a Minor Was Caught on School Campus Possessing Two Hydrocodones

My question involves criminal law for the state of: South Carolina.

This does not have to do with me, but a close friend of mine. He was caught on campus, as previously stated, with two hydrocodones. He's 16, and this is his first legal offense with the law, but his third run-in with drugs school wise.

What are the charges for a situation like this?

3rd time with drugs at school? He will likely be expelled.

As for legally....he may be ordered into a Drug Education class, probation with random checks, community service, and court costs/fines.

I would say he's looking at a juvenile code felony PCS charge. Anymore, with scripted drugs, authorities are pretty much showing no 'mercy' as far as illegal possession goes.

Not to mention that school will most likely throw the book at 'im for being a three-time loser. Your bud has serious issues!
