My employer (a franchisee) received a complaint against me from the corporate offices that was filed by a woman who had a personal dispute with me. She claimed I harrassed her, used foul language, told her not to visit my store and that I told her I knew where she lived via e-mail. All of these statements were completely bogus. I deleted the e-mails that took place between us, but my boss was able to view them before I deleted them and said she didn't see anything to warrant this girls complaints and that I had nothing to worry about. On the same day they found out that I had been seeking other employment. All of this happened on Friday and on Monday I was terminated. They stated the reason for termination as 1) They were now involved in a personal matter that they didn't need to be involved in (even though they have no evidence that I did these things) and 2) because I was looking for another job. Can i sue them for wrongful termination? I work in the state of Oklahoma, and was past my 90 day probationary period.
