    Exclamation Other Options Besides Emancipation

My question involves juvenile law in the State of: Texas

I made a thread before about my parents not accepting my sexuality. From that discussion I understand that emancipation is really not an option for me, atleast not right now. I do want to know if there is anything similar to emancipation? I dont want to live under the problems and stress that my parents are bestowing over me in the sense that my mother will force me out of school because i lied about my sexuality. Is there any law that can help me? Because i do want to finish high school and go to college to become an optometrist and i know i can, im just limited by my parents. Its in my best interest to leave. So, again, is there anything at all that can help me in any way?

There is no law that is going to force your parents to allow you to move out.

18 is not too young to finish high school and go to college.

I'm 16. I need to finish high school. Ate you sure there isn't anything at all that keeps my parents from taking me out if school? If unwanted to live with someone else would I need my parents permission?

I mentioned 18 because that is when you can move out without permission.

Have your parents ACTUALLY taken you out of school? Or only threatened to do so?

The only way you can legally leave home without permission until you are 18 is if the state removes you. Yes, you would need your parents' permission to live with someone else.

I would discuss your parents threats to remove you from school with the principal to see if there are any laws that can assist you to stay.

IF they ACTUALLY remove you from school, you can call CPS or your school district and report it. But that WILL NOT get you emancipated and it is unlikely that you will be removed from the home. More likely, your parents will be required to put you back in school.
