Default Landlord Continues to Charge Late Fees After Full Rent Paid

My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: Texas

Rent was mailed late on the 5th which lease asks for does not state on lease that the rent considered late till received. I know its $25.00 a day for late fees . On the 14th landlord advised I owe $125.oo for late fees did not give me a date just stated ASAP. and it was sent on a text no by letter. Today she tells me i owe her $500.00 in late fees. Can she do this. the lease states she can charge a % of rent for late fees. my rent is $850.00. Can she continue to charge late fees after the rent has been accepted. she has not stated the late fees are deducted from the rent either.

What does your lease say about late fees and rent? Quote the exact language.
