Default Debt Collectors Recording Phone Conversation

My question involves collection proceedings in the State of: Minnesota
I live with my brother and the landline is a published number in his name. A debt collector called here on Friday concerning his son, my nephew. The man identified himself, his organization and said this call is being recorded. Do I have the right to refuse to have the call recorded?
He asked me what my name is and I would not tell him. I told him there is no one here at this number by the name he asked for. He insisted I was the father of this man (my nephew) and I hung up on him.
But, my basic concern is, do I have the right to tell them I do not consent to having the phone conversation recorded?
    Thanks.

You can tell them you don't want it recorded but since Minnesota is a one party state, they can still record the conversation if they choose to.
