I've seen it a lot of times....

Come to the department I was working, oops, there's an empty bottle of pop. Or in a store with a walk-in cooler, an entire empty six pack.

I've seen a kid munching on a bag of chips, but the chips are stale. Riiiight. So stale that you continue to let Junior eat them and don't pay for the bag, even though the kid has eaten a part bag.

See some stores with little fruit stands for the kids now? It's a nice way of saying "Your kid can select an apple/banana here, but please PAY for it". Did you know that handful of grapes a person comsumes without paying for could be called SHOPLIFTING? Because your kid/husband/you is eating the item and not paying for it?

Best advice ever - don't use it until you pay for it.
Still though...SHE PUT THE WIPES ON THE COUNTER TO BE RUNG UP.

I can just imagine a different scenario. I see it all the time at Walmart...the cashier is moving at the speed of light and being sloppy about it. The cashier could easily miss ringing up one of the items...then someone gets arrested because an 89 cent item isn't on their receipt?!!

This isn't a case where she temporarily stuff something in her pocket because her hands were full or forgot to get something off the bottom of the cart. She actually put the item on the counter.

I can sympathize with her....my friend went through chemo/radiation.

But the best thing still is....don't use the item until you have paid for it. Period.

Or....since she uses these wipes each time she comes in....she could buy some before hand....mark them with her initials in Sharpies, and tape the receipt to it.
