Default Is a Non-Compete Valid If You're Fired or Laid Off

My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: Texas
If you are laid off or terminated by a company is a a no compete clause still valid?

That is the point of a non compete clause. Refer to your non competition contract for relevant terms.

There isn't any law that I am aware of that automatically voids a non-compete clause regardless of the situation. The answer to that question should be found in the agreement itself. This is a matter of contract law, not employment statutes.
