My landlord has presented a pet addendum to my 9-month lease agreement in the middle of my lease term. This addendum requires an additional monthly "pet rent" added to my rent. This addendum was presented and applies to every tenant with pets. I choose NOT to accept the new increase in my rent and seek to terminate the contract. There is no early termination clause in my lease agreement. Am I entitled to receive my security deposit back? How do I go about terminiating my lease or do I have other options?
