Default Ordered to Appear in Court, but Live in a Different State

My question involves traffic court in the State of: New Hampshire

I must appear on October 16 in court for speeding. As other posters, officer was extremely rude to me too. I was only speeding for a short time because it was my exit and there was a guy on the left lane with the lights HIGH and I couldn't stand it. He caught me right at my exit.

The issue here is that I live in Chicago and I will not be able to attend court on 10/16.

What's the course of action in these out-of-state cases?

    Thank you!

Irrelevant. Contrary to popular belief, law enforcement personnel are not required to be deferential to those they stop.

    Also irrelevant.

Unless your funeral is that day, or you're going to be in the hospital for a kidney transplant, you need to get yourself back to NH for court. Alternatively, you can check with a New Hampshire attorney to determine if it is permissible for an attorney to appear in your place.

^^Agreed^^... What code section/statute were you cited for and how fast were you allegedly clocked at and in what speed zone?

ETA: I think a heart transplant was recently added to the list, Missy
