Default Wanting to Change Child's First Name

My question involves name change laws in the State of: South Carolina.

We named my daughter after my husbands grandmother. We thought we like the way it sounded when she came out but it just didn't fit her. We have called her by her middle name all her 3 years of life. All we want to do is change it around. We don't know how to start going about doing that.

You really don't need to. Lots of people go by their middle names, including my father, my husband, and three of my uncles. Perfectly simple - no need to go through any paperwork.
