I recently purchased property in Tenn. The Power Co. ( REA Coop) has a line that crosses my property for about 400' to serve a neighbor, and they claim a 15' right of way either side of this line. When I talked with their Engineer about re-routing it he says that he has a right to be there because a previous owner gave them permission, no documented or recorded easement. Probably about 5 or 6 years ago. Do I have a legal recourse?
