T53147,
Position at the university: Software development & Support. (Fixed-price contract). Before that there was the same position but with an hourly rate instead.
OPT: No, I worked for them while on an OPT but they knew that my opt was over so they had to make a fixed price contract for my business now, not just a regular employee.
I know that I cannot work for my business, but I have my ead from my h1-b employer. What should I do now? Should I tell someone, like immigration services about what I've done it or should I wait? Who usually works with these cases and how can they find out this? Is it an IRS that checks for all types of permits and visas? So when I'm going to file my taxes they are going to check for my permits/ead and find out that I cannot work for my business? Do you know if there were similar cases?
Ladreamact,
Is there any official documents that state that working on a side while on an h1-b is allowed?
Again, thank you for your responses.
