Default What Are My Right While Dealing with CPS in Minnesota

My question involves child abuse or neglect in the State of:minnesota. my son was abused by his father on august 12th 2012. i was incarcerated in jail when it occurred for a failed u.a. for my probahtion officer on may 17th. i am currently sober and have been since june of 2012. i live with my sister which is proper housing.. but cps says i must prove stablity and soberity. do they have a timeline in which they have to respond to me?? how long can they keep me on supervised vists?? what are my rights in this situation?? can they use a u.a. from3 months ago?? i am very confused and need help... i want my children in my custody and away from there father..

Then comply with what they request. Do it long enough and they usually go away.

You've been sober since June? Of this year? You're going to need a LOT longer before CPS will deem you to be stable. Think more along the lines of a year plus.

So, what's happening with Dad's case?
