Summoned to court over credit card debt

I received a summons to appear in county court for a pretrial conference for a credit card debt in the amount of $1925. I defaulted on the payments approximately a year ago. When I go to this pretrial conference, do I try to negotiate and for what? Should I try to reach an agreement to avoid being taken court?

I think this is what it is for, to try to reach an agreement so neither side has to go to court. If you make a payment arrangement, if they are willing to accept it, do NOT forget to make a payment, or a judgement could be made to garnish your paychecks.
