    Lightbulb Is There a Statute of Limitations on City Owned Debt

    My question involves collection proceedings in the State of: Oregon 17 year old debt and they have said there is no statute cause the city owns the hospital....is this true...? I don't remember the bill......

    12.250 Actions by state, county or public corporations. Unless otherwise made applicable thereto, the limitations prescribed in this chapter shall not apply to actions brought in the name of the state, or any county, or other public corporation therein, or for its benefit.
    unless that statute has been altered since I posted it a couple years ago for another person in Oregon with a similar question, yes, means there is no limitation to the time they can chase you for the money.
