And how is that going to be measured?
And how is that going to be measured?
Okay, admittedly that last post made me laugh.
1) And how is that "measured"? Using what reference or scale?
2) Ditto
3) Uh huh.
4) Interesting.
What formula are you going to suggest, amoeba?
What price on each?
Using what standard?
[QUOTE=amlebede;645113]1) Rate of recidivism for a crime
Oh, so a wealthy person won't have to go to prison but a poor person will. That's a great idea (not). You need to check into the Chinese ding zui. Sounds like you would think that is a great idea.2) How much the person contributes to GDP/ GDP growth
so, anybody that is ill, old, requires a special diet or anything else means they don't go to jail?3) Cost of holding an inmate
benefit society in prison? Ok, if he is a prison prostitute, would that be a benefit or injury to society in prison?4) Extent to which inmate can benefit society in prison
No. A person who provides more benefit to society will not go to prison. Wealth is irrelevant.
That is a factor to consider.
That has to be based on a subjective valuation.
Why are you guys feeding this troll? You can't be THAT bored.
I would take exception to the assumption that incarceration of convicted criminal is depriving us of "productivity in society".
if that is your argument, then wealth is relevant. A wealthy person can provide more benefit to society than a poor person. If they are incarcerated, their ability to benefit society is restricted.
and a subjective evaluation? You have got to be kidding me.

sadly to say, yes, I am. Not for want of nothing else to do though. I just don't want to go do the other things.
