My question involves an injury that occurred in the state of: California

I had a car accident on 11/17/2010, I was driving my neighbor's car. He did not have insurance on it. The other party entered the traffic and hit me from side I rolled over. Car totaled, I injured my head, back and shoulder permanently. Hired a lawyer initially, he informed me that I cant get pain and suffering. I can only collect medical expenses. After that point I kind of let this thing go. Fast-forward to last week. I learn that none my medical bills have been paid, also the car(which was a lease) haven't been paid. Insurance company claims I am 60% at fault. My lawyer wont return my phone calls. I tried to hire another lawyer this week. He told me he has to be paid in advance to resolve the matter since he can't get his 33%.

I am in the process of writing a demand letter. I talked to the insurance company, they sounded like they wanted to pay for the medical bills, asked me all the medical paperwork I have from hospitals and doctors I have seen. Anybody can show me where I can get some information about writing this letter. I already know the nolo page, it's asking money and I don't have any.

Sorry English is not my first language.
