My question involves bankruptcy in the state of: Colorado

I am thinking about filing for bankruptcy but I'm not sure which chapter to file for ? I don't know much about this. My family told me that there is a chapter that lets you keep your car. I refinanced my auto loan in 2005 and it went into default. It has since been bought by a collection company. The car was never taken back and I still have it, it went into default 5 years ago. There is a lien on the car but as far as I know there has never been an attempt to collect the car. I also have medical bills, and my ex used my info to get loans for him and his now wife. So I do have a lot on my credit report because of them. I was told there was nothing I could do to stop them or make them pay it back. I don't know if that is true but I have no way to prove it on paper. Its just my word against theirs. Well fast forward to the present and I'm getting married this november. I was told my future husband will be responsible for paying my debt once we get married. I don't want that to happen so I'm looking at filing for bankruptcy to keep him out of it. Don't get me wrong, I want to pay everything back but i've been unemployed for the last year and I'm trying to find a job. So I want to know what would be the best path to take at this point. Thank you !!!
