Using a Trademarked Logo for Small Business Single Product

Hi! I have a question about the use of a trademarked item. First off, my business is custom paint jobs (mostly on skate helmets). It's very small, and I try to do whatever the customer wants on a helmet. I have a customer who wants a brand logo on a helmet. I've seen elsewhere that trademark infringement would be for a similar product that could be confused. These would obviously not be confused (bubblegum, sporting good). Is this true? Could I use this logo on a single, unrelated product?

You cannot use the logo without the permission of the logo owner, period.
