Thanks for the reply aaron. To answer your question
did you give the other person the impression that you were a police officer
the answer is no. Apparently I was late for work that day and was driving like a mad man to get there. There was this lady in the passing lane doing something like 35 in a 55 and I couldn't make the lane change to the other lane due to traffic so I flashed my lights and she finaly got over for me . Apparently she called the police and told them that I tried to pull her over or something like that . At anyrate, once they caught up with me on my way to work I explained to them what happened and they warned me that , that was a stupid thing to do and watch it next time. After that, I went to work and continued on. This was back in 1999 .
So the other day I was browsing the local paper online and noticed that they had a warrant search . So I decided to check and low and behold, there was my name. Now, at the time this happened I lived at the same residence as I do now so I am not sure as to why they did not serve me , however, this did happen in Kentucky and I live in Ohio .
I took your advice and hired a Attorney . He wants me to meet him at his office tomorrow and then drive on down to the sheriffs office so they can "excute" this warrant and get that out of the way . He assured me that I wouldn't be locked up for more than a few hours ( I am praying) and then he would proceed from there.
I'll keep this post updated as to the outcome , however, as he mentioned, with this being so long ago , the chances are in my favor as he said that the Officer may not even be employed anymore and or the "witness" may not be able to be contacted .
All of this because I was late for work. .. wow .
