Given 5 Days Notice to Move Out

My question involves an eviction in the state of: Michigan

2 months ago I moved in with a friend of mine and her boyfriend into an apartment complex my name is listed as a tenant and not a lessee. We got the apartment because her boyfriend was joining the military and she didn't want to be alone while he was away and needed help with the rent.

Last Wednesday she texted me letting me know her boyfriend inlisted in the national guard and was given orders that exempted them from their lease agreement and told me I had 5 days to move out. Is this legal? I paid for the security deposits which we will loose due to the early termination of lease. Because of such short notice I wasn't able to properly clean my space and repaint a wall. Should I have to be responsible for any cleaning/painting fees?
