    Default Emancipation in Florida with One Parent's Consent

    I am 16 years old and want to get emancipated, I live in Florida and my Mom is willing to do it, But my father lives in another country and we do not know where he is, also, I would not want to live with him. Could she still Petition against me and get me emancipated?

    May I ask you a couple of questions Chris?

    What is your yearly salary? Where do you intend to live? Are you still in school? Does your father have any sort of legal custody of you?

    What nation issued the child custody order giving mom custody, and what custody rights does dad have under the order?
