    Default Sober Living Home

My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: California

Hope I explain this well enough: I live in a sober living home, and things are becoming difficult with my fellow clients.

My recovery is going well only in that I'm staying sober, but how I'm being treated by the other patients are making that increasingly difficult. I'm being regularly accused of misdeeds, none of which are logically or financially possible. They were friendly at the start, but have become belligerent and they "set me down" each day and accuse me of one thing or another. The lady who owns the homes and runs the program was sympathetic, but I've complained about the mistreatment so much that she's now joined in. I'm not sure what I'm doing that's made them this way.

It's hard to find another program to join around here, so I'm not sure what to do. I began at another one, but moved to this one because people said it was a better set-up than where I was. It makes me feel like they want me to just leave, like I'm being railroaded.

What are my rights as far as being harassed?

    Thank you.

What "rights" are granted or guaranteed by your contract?

    Are you paying rent?

You may have little choice but to either deal with the problems or find another place to live.

    Good luck in your recovery.
